What Must Be True to Qualify
- Shipment is sent via FedEx Priority Overnight.
- Shipment is sent Hub-to-Hub only. No exceptions.
- Shipment is sent Monday through Wednesday.
- The package is late due to a FedEx service failure.
- The animal is dead on arrival (DOA).
- Packaging fully complies with HerpShipper and FedEx live animal shipping standards.
- Packaging compliance can be proven with clear photos or video.
- The shipment follows all HerpShipper temperature guidelines.
- For residential or business delivery, Adult Signature Required is used.
Not Covered
What Voids or Excludes Coverage
- Standard Overnight, 2-Day, or Ground shipments.
- Package arrives on time but the animal is DOA.
- Delays caused by weather, airport closures, shutdowns, or acts of God.
- Delays caused by address changes, rerouting, or shipper/recipient changes.
- Hub shipment is marked Ready for Pickup before commitment time.
- Recipient picks up a hub shipment late.
- Residential or business shipment has an on-time first delivery attempt.
- Recipient is unavailable during the first delivery attempt.
- Shipment fails temperature guidelines at pickup, hub hold, or delivery.
- Failure to meet any required condition.

Notify HerpShipper
Report any DOA claim within 4 hours of the official delivery time. If outside business hours, leave a voicemail or send an email within that same timeframe.

Submit Required Proof
Send clear photos or video of the label, box, insulation, packing materials, temperature packs, and animal condition.

Meet Evidence Deadline
All supporting evidence must be submitted within 6 hours of the official delivery time.

Preserve the Animal
The animal must be kept frozen until the claim is reviewed. Failure to produce it upon request will result in denial.
Claim Contact Information
Include your full name, email address, phone number, and tracking number when filing a claim.
HerpShipper reserves the sole right to determine claim eligibility based on submitted evidence, FedEx scan data, and compliance with all published shipping requirements.
